Coordination Committee for Traffic Regulation, Road Safety & Traffic Management
The Gram Panchayat Level Traffic Regulatory Committee is constituted to ensure effective traffic regulation, road safety and traffic management within the jurisdiction of the Gram Panchayat. The Committee functions under the supervision of the District Traffic Regulatory Committee.
The President of the Gram Panchayat serves as the Chairperson, while an officer nominated by the District Police Chief functions as the Convener.

⚖️ Major Responsibilities
🚗 Traffic Assessment
Examine traffic-related issues within the Gram Panchayat and make appropriate recommendations.
🛣️ Road Safety
Recommend measures to improve road safety and reduce accidents.
🚦 Traffic Management
Suggest solutions to traffic congestion, parking issues and accident-prone locations.
🤝 Departmental Coordination
Coordinate with the Police, Motor Vehicles Department, PWD and other agencies regarding road signs, traffic control systems and safety measures.
🚸 Public Safety
Promote a safe and efficient transportation system for pedestrians, motorists and the general public.
📋 Policy Implementation
Support the implementation of the policies, guidelines and directions issued by the District Traffic Regulatory Committee.
🎯 Objective
The Committee aims to strengthen inter-departmental coordination, improve traffic management, enhance road safety, and ensure the safe and smooth movement of vehicles and pedestrians throughout the Gram Panchayat area.
