Ward-level Anti-Drug Grama Sabha under Operation Toofan

As part of the 'Operation Toofan' initiative, special 'Toofan Grama Sabhas' are being organized across all wards of Thalappalam Grama Panchayat to strengthen grassroots anti-drug drives through active public participation.

Key Objectives & Action Points:

  • Strengthening Vigilance Committees: Activate ward-level vigilance committees to monitor and prevent illicit drug activities.
  • Area Surveillance: Formulate local action plans to curb drug peddling around school/college premises and vulnerable public spots.
  • Awareness Campaigns: Conduct targeted awareness and sensitization programs for youths, students, and parents.
  • Rehabilitation Support: Coordinate local support systems for early identification, counseling, and rehabilitation of affected individuals.
