Operation Toofan: The Narco Hunt

State-wide Anti-Drug Drive by Government and Kerala Police

'Operation Toofan' is the largest state-wide anti-drug campaign launched jointly by the Government of Kerala and Kerala Police to eradicate the drug mafia.

Key Objectives:

  • Uproot Drug Networks: Completely dismantle drug supply syndicates and interstate smuggling networks operating across the state.
  • Prevent Synthetic Drugs: Strictly curb the use and distribution of dangerous synthetic drugs like MDMA.
  • Protect Youth & Children: Safeguard the younger generation by preventing the availability of narcotics near schools, colleges, and public places.
  • Public Participation: Expand anti-drug awareness, counseling, and community participation alongside strict police inspections.
  • Rehabilitation: Ensure proper rehabilitation and support for individuals struggling with substance abuse.

Report any information regarding drug peddling or usage to the police or excise department immediately. Informant identities will be kept strictly confidential.
