Operation Toofan: Anti-Drug Awareness Activities

State-wide Anti-Drug Awareness Drive under Operation Toofan

To create a drug-free environment, Thalappalam Grama Panchayat, in coordination with the Kerala Police and Excise Department, is conducting key awareness programs across all wards:

  • School & College Campaigns: Interactive sessions led by experts, poster exhibitions, and seminars for students to highlight the physical and mental hazards of substance abuse.
  • Kudumbashree & Neighborhood Groups: Specialized family awareness gatherings to train parents in identifying behavioral changes early and preventing youth drug initiation.
  • Cultural & Sports Outreach: Street plays, rallies, flash mobs, and sports tournaments designed to engage the youth actively in anti-drug advocacy.
  • Counseling & Rehabilitation Support: Operating confidential counseling channels and providing guidance to de-addiction centers for individuals in need.
