Farmers' Day Celebration in Thalappalam Grama Panchayat

The Pride of a Land Growing with the Soil

To honor the agricultural heritage of Thalappalam Grama Panchayat and the hard work of its farmers, Farmers' Day was celebrated on 17/08/2026 (Chingam 1) at the Thalappalam Service Co-operative Bank Auditorium. The event was presided over by Grama Panchayat President Smt. Jomy Benny, inaugurated by Erattupetta Block Panchayat President Shri. Joy Scaria, and featured a keynote address by District Panchayat Member Smt. Sreekala R. The program aimed to recognize the invaluable contributions of farmers toward food security, economic progress, and environmental protection, as well as to encourage the younger generation to enter the agricultural sector.

• Focus Areas: Modern farming technologies, organic farming, soil conservation, water management, and homestead vegetable cultivation.

• Discussion & Support: Served as a platform to address agricultural challenges, introduce available government schemes and subsidies, listen directly to farmers' issues, and ensure necessary support measures.
